The fishing became a little slow in late August and early September due to the number of bright sunny warm days. We were still catching fish, but smaller fish. I was on the Salt a few days ago. Using a hopper dropper combo, we were having steady action throughout the day. Tha majority of thr fish came on the nymph although some of the larger fish are still eating the hopper in the afternoon. I am confident that the Brown trout have started their spawning voyage up from Palisades. I am sure the first cloudy day should produce some nice Browns on streamers.
