This last week we had several dustings of snow in Alpine and Star Valley, but no more than about an inch in the Valley (more up high) from any one storm. Renters have reported good riding with plenty of softer snow to be found. Nothing over the handlebars, yet good riding. Avalanche danger is up right now. Overall the snowpack in the Snake River drainage (Jackson, Star Valley, Togwotee, Etc.) is at 90% of average. The snotel sites are as follows:
Blind Bull 53″
Spring Creek (Afton) 61″, 65″ a few days ago
Willow Creek (Bedford) 55″
The prediction is for snow everyday from now until next Tuesday with a break in storms on Sunday. I will report later.
