You can almost cast from your cabin! Our southern property gate accesses 400 acres of prime water on the Salt River for nearly a mile up stream. We also have an onsite boat ramp to access the Salt. Three miles downstream is the convergence of the Greys, Snake, and Salt River.
All of these rivers have first class trout fishing. At this convergence is the beginning of Palisades Lake, a 15-mile long reservoir to entertain the lake fisherman. At the far end of the lake, roughly 20 miles, is the beginning of the world famous “South Fork of the Snake”. The south fork has a wide variety of hatches and trout species including Browns, Cutthroat, Rainbows, and Hybrids. Explore these rivers on your own, or treat yourself to a trip with one of our Trout Fishing Guides
It’s closer to us than Jackson! The famous west-table to sheep gulch Snake River white-water section takes out only eight miles from the ranch. The season for this section is from May to September. The easiest sections to float on the river are less than a ten minute drive from the ranch or just float back to the cabins! Shuttle services are also available.

Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming is a 15 minute drive from the Rockin’ M. Star Valley ranch is Home to three golf courses, Cedar Creek (18 Hole), Aspen Hills (par 5/9 Hole), and the RV Resort (18 Hole).
If you have never played a mountain course, take this opportunity. High elevations and many elevated t-boxes make for some great drives. There are also many narrow and challenging holes. Take several balls, you’ll need them.
These courses are open to the public at a very reasonable price, ($12-$38) and are very casual and family oriented.
