March 4th, 2018
This year we got March in January and January in March. A solid 12″ of snow in the places that I hadn’t plowed since last week. Ski resorts are reporting another 12″ over night. Our local snotels look about the same amount of new with Blind Bull and Willow Creek going over 90″. The elevations under 7500, which were a little slim a month ago, now have plenty and are substantially more avalanche stable than the high country. It was a slow and strange start to this winter. Conditions are excellent as of now. Don’t right of this winter yet. Plenty of good snow left. Over the hood powder to be found if you were here tomorrow. Temps are predicted to stay cool.
